  • The University of Hawai`i athletic department refreshed their identity to a more edgy black and green design, but the "rainbow" logos  remained popular with fans, so we released a collection of past logo designs for select licensees to use, charging a higher advance and royalty rate

​

  • Worked with university licensing, athletics, the president's office and the Center for Hawaiian Studies to curate a historic collection of logos and images that was both historically relevant and culturally sensitive. In one case we slightly modernized a past Menehune logo to make sure it was not potentially offensive to the fan base

​

  • This collection helped to launch a very popular throwback football uniform package from Under Armour and an entire line of throwback-inspired clothing​

​

  • Supported with custom point of sale for bricks and mortar retail as well as online sales and social media

SUPER BOWL LII GAME PROGRAM AD

  • OpSec Security, the NFL's brand security partner, asked me to reimagine their Super Bowl print ad to give it more modern, edgy look while delivering their message to fans

​

  • I limited the color palette to shades of OpSec's official blue to help create a stronger brand presence. The dramatic image and the simplified copy helped the ad to stand out in the official program. The ad was easy to read and digest quickly, and the NFL's authentication device artwork was easily recognized

NORTH carolina state UNIVERSITY

  • North Carolina State wanted to encourage consumers to "Look for the Label" designating that a product was officially licensed

​

  • I worked with NCSU's licensing department to script and storyboard commercials which were filmed by student filmmakers. I created print ads, retail point of sale, digital ads and social media ads from video stills to share this message online, in retail stores all over North Carolina, in stadiums/arenas and in print in newpapers and university magazines

​

  • Used paid social to distribute the video and ads during back to school rush, football kick off and prior to marquis football match ups. Monitored data to determine reach

MISSISSIPPI STATE UNIVERSITY LICENSE PLATE AD

  • Mississippi State wanted to promote the sale of special state of Mississippi "MSU" license plates to both in-state residents and to reciprocal neighbor states

​

  • A new ad theme appeared everywhere from game day programs and digital ads to state-specific magazines, newspapers and social media campaigns encouraging residents to purchase the special plates

​

  • Royalties from the sale of Mississippi State-specific license plates totaled more than $850,000 annually.

  • I designed booth space for several trade shows in the sports and branded products industries including the Sports Licensing Show, NACDA, NCAA and Campus Market Expo (CAMEX)

  • Each booth was custom-designed to be functional, stand out on the show floor and tell a compelling brand story 

​

  • Booths were constructed by a great booth building partner that helped source unique display materials and assisted in planning, transport and on-site construction
